Porn Star STEVE CRUZ Talks 'Hard Friction,' His Man BRUNO BOND, What He Likes in a Man, much more
Steve Cruz (NSFW) is the porn star even porn stars admire...he's an accomplished performer and director - he recently completed the 'Green Door' project (NSFW!) for Falcon, as director, which stars a slew of hotties, including our boy Chad Manning.

Steve: As a performer, I am working on 2 movies this summer for Raging Stallion. 'Focus' and 'Arabesque 2.' I just wrapped on a hot 3-way scene for the first project, alongside Ricky Sinz and Adam Killian. It's a wild scene where we are all video taping each other fucking. We were actually taping while the studio was taping! It was cool.
As a director, I go into production next week on 'Dark Room' with Leif Gobo. 'Dark Room' is an all sex abduction thriller starring Mustang Exclusive Samuel Colt, Johnny Gunn in a big dick gang bang and newcomers Alessio Romero and Tom Wolfe.
With my real-life porn star boyfriend, I'm launching HardFriction, a pro-am website, this fall! We take turns directing, running camera, editing and sometimes starring in the content. Steve: Both put out sexy movies, the best in the business. Mustang is most like Raging Stallion in the masculine no non-sense approach to sex. So it's a good fit for me. Falcon is currently run by corporate businessmen, so the approach is much more systematic and more like working in a real office than you would imagine. I like that they were highly organized. Raging, on the other hand, is run by a director, so they have an in-house studio, which is awesome and things tend to be more project oriented; some projects are bigger than others. We'll have weeks to work on bigger projects, where as Falcon gives me 3 days to put a movie together. It's interesting!

Muzo: You've won a ton of awards, too! Out of all of them, which is the most rewarding to you?
Steve: Performer of the Year is pretty awesome at the Grabby's this year! It doesn't get better than that! A very special award was given to me by Chi Chi La Rue, the year we won best group scene for 'Link:The Evolution.' She just gave me the award and said I earned it. That one has the deepest sentiment for me...I'll treasure it forever.

Steve: Chris Ward of Raging Stallion called me into the studio and made me an offer I was apprehensive about at first. I didn't really want to be a porn star at first. But he convinced me I'd be a hit; really I couldn't believe that anyone would pay to watch me, I thought I was too short, too hairy. Turns out I have had a lot of fans after all. I owe Chris Ward so much, I'm having the time of my life!

Muzo: Advice for guys considering getting into porn?
Steve: If you can remember it's a business while making it fun, you'll do well. Fans like to see you having a good time.

Muzo: Who are your porn idols?
Steve: Francois Sagat was my favorite when I started; he's a legend in his time. So imagine my excitement to work with him in my second movie! Bruno of 1970s Colt Movies. Joey Stefano, not for his life, but for the fact that he paved the way for a bottom to be a major star! Colton Ford for showing us there's life after porn. Johnny Hazzard for always being himself.

Muzo: How about music - favorite artists, DJs?
Steve: My musical taste is vast. I like everything from No Doubt to Led Zeppelin, The Clash to Kraftwerk; my time as an adolescent was the '80s, so I listened to a lot of post punk bands and synth. Depeche Mode defined my life. And so I like a lot of electro. My mom raised me on Funk and R'n'B. But I like classical, too, and classic rock.
DJ culture sort of peaked in the late '90s and 2000, but its pretty boring to me right now; I was huge raver in the early '90s, then a club kid. Or maybe it was the other way around... I am waiting for the next big thing to hit, going out in the 2000's is really mind numbingly boring...

Steve: I'm sexed out at this moment. I'm on overload. I'd prefer to just cuddle actually with my BF Bruno Bond.

Muzo: What's the biggest misconception about you?
Steve: People think I am this little guy with a huge personality! But really I just like to laugh and have a good time. By nature I'm pretty lighthearted, and in this business, which at times can seem petty and over-run by insecurity and competition, the biggest challenge is to be yourself and remain a real person... to not believe your own hype! And most of all not let the hateful things insecure people say about you stick.

Steve: Depends on the guy? That's a loaded question!

Steve: I'm not sure, but when I figure it out I'll probably film it at some point.

Muzo: When you and your friends are hanging out, what do you like to do for fun?
Steve: I'm a social animal when I'm relaxed; I like a few shots of Tequila and music.

Muzo: Type of guy you go for?
Steve: Smart, handsome, grounded and peaceful. Jealousy is a deal breaker. My current partner is just as ambitious and creative as I am... we're always hatching new projects!
