CONTEST: Get Out Your VideoCams to Support Marriage Equality



So I am thinking now is the time to bring Muzo's 'Proposition 69: Say YES to NO on Divorce' concept to life - any takers?



The L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center has announced 'Project Pushback.' Do you have a unique take on why same-sex couples should be allowed to marry? Now's your chance to show it.

The Center is holding a video contest in support of marriage equality and wants your submissions. Video needs to be no longer than 60 seconds - here are some tips:

• Project: Pushback isn’t about a specific election but about building support for the freedom to marry.

• The best messages will both persuade voters and motivate people who are already supportive to get involved.

• Be strategic and creative. Consider how to blunt the impact of the right wing’s scare tactics.

• Your video should be suitable for a general audience. Videos with inappropriate content will not be approved for broadcast on the Center’s channel.

Anyone over 18 can enter and the deadline for submissions is May 18. One Grand Prize winner will receive a cash prize of $2,500. One People’s Choice Award winner will receive a cash prize of $1,000. Everyone who votes or enters will have the chance to win a Sony HD Video Camera valued at $1,000.
