Get Up Close and Personal with DJ SIN MORERA
Of Dominican-Peruvian heritage, New York-based DJ Sin Morera has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry and has rapidly become one himself. After a gig with Warner Bros. Music and Page 6 drama with Junior Vasquez (Sin says they've since kissed and made up), Morera keeps moving forward with new ventures.
Sin was kind enough to answer some of Muzo's questions - everything from what inspires him as a DJ to what he likes in bed. You know the drill, lets get to it (...and a big thanks to Michael for contributing to this interview, too!):

Sin: They're all different, they're all special, in there own way. Honestly, they all brought out something in me, that the others couldn't. Some I met before I was signed to Warner Music, some I met when I was @ Warner, and I had my publishing deal with them as a songwriter.
The only gossip is that me and Junior are past the whole New York Post page 6 drama, and my record "Whispered Prayer" is on his album dropping in April, and it's a strong track. Junior loved it, and the label loves it, and I love it! And we kissed and made up and are working together again!

Muzo: Is Sin Morera your real name? If not, how'd you come up with it?
Sin: I am Carlos "Sin" Morera, but I have always been called Sin, since the 4th grade. When I got in trouble in school, I was simply Sin.

Muzo: On your MySpace, you have a pic of you and Mario Vazquez from 'American Idol' (pic to the left). Are you guys buds? He is so fine.
Sin: I love Mario Vazquez. He's a good soul, so freakin' talented. We worked together in the past on 'One Shot,' the second song off his album on Arista Records. He's my boy! Yeah, we talk, via email, and I text him once in awhile, and vice versa, yeah he's my bud! And yes, he's a good-looking guy...

Muzo: What event or place do you still hope to eventually spin at?
Sin: Ibiza, Japan, Thailand, I did Beijing, I lived and DJ'd there for 6 months. I am doing my thing, am working hard and the big gigs are coming...they're already here.

Muzo: Describe your ideal date?
Sin: Smart, shy, intelligent, loving, loyal, honest...and someone who doesn't play the phone game!

Muzo: What's a guy gotta do to get naked with you?
Sin: He has to be a virgin lol, am not easy @ all...people can't talk about that, that's for sure!

Muzo: Biggest turn on in another guy?
Sin: I still love someone very special, so am not there these days, hopefully we will make it through, if not, life goes on, but his hands, I guess...masculine hands, and the eyes.

Muzo: Favorite part of your body?
Sin: I think I have nice lips...

Sin: Not snore!

Muzo: Most interesting place you've had sex?
Sin: In my bed, and it wasn't boring either...

Muzo: What artist have you been dying to work with, but have yet to work with?
Sin: Depeche Mode

Sin: The laptop has to go. Any DJ using laptops, whatever! (Am gonna get heat for this, but I don't give a f*&K!)
I am sure some of my peers will agree and some will disagree; I grew up with vinyl, so that says it all. So, to all the new DJs: Learn on wax, then CDs, and use your laptop simply to email your mother!

Muzo: What's next for Sin Morera?
Sin: Honestly, the world and life these days are tough; I am working hard and am soul searching. I have a great new pastor in my life, and I love him. I want to be the best I can be! With everything...life's great but short! So no more drama in my life!!!
I am letting the universe take its course these days. If love comes again, it comes, but one thing I am sure of is I will be putting out new records this year, and breaking new venues big and small...peace!
